NEW PRE-ARRIVAL IMMIGRATION PROCEDURE FOR FOREIGN VISITORS – FROM 15 APRIL 2026
From 15 April 2026, the electronic pre-entry declaration system is being rolled out simultaneously at Vietnam’s main international airports. This regulation helps to streamline passenger flows and make your journey more convenient, faster and safer.
Official border crossing points using the electronic declaration system:
• Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City)
• Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi)
• Da Nang International Airport
• Cam Ranh International Airport (Khanh Hoa)
• Phu Quoc International Airport
Passengers are advised to complete the declaration form online before their flight at the official address: https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn
Applies to:
• Foreign nationals entering Vietnam
• Overseas Vietnamese holding a visa to enter Vietnam
Does not apply to:
• Vietnamese citizens holding a Vietnamese passport
• Transit passengers who do not go through immigration formalities
Note: You can still complete the declaration on arrival, but it will take longer than filling it in online beforehand.
