10-day itineraries

10 days is enough to explore one region in depth, or to link two without rushing. Suggested itineraries, each with its own rhythm, which VNCT member agencies tailor to your wishes.

Frequently asked questions

  • Are ten days enough to visit all three regions?

It is possible, but it will be a rush: almost half the time will be spent travelling. In ten days, it is better to choose one region, or two neighbouring regions such as the North and the Centre.

  • Domestic flight or train between stages?

For long distances (Hanoi – Da Nang, Da Nang – Saigon), fly: about an hour and a half. The night train suits those who have more time and want to enjoy the scenery.

  • Can the itinerary be tailored to your wishes?

Yes. The itineraries shown here are outline plans; VNCT member travel agencies adjust the number of nights, the hotels and the guides to suit your wishes.

  • Which are the best months for a ten-day trip?

March–April and October–November suit most itineraries: little rain in the North and the Centre alike. See also the “When to go?” page.
